The company was established 15 years ago after John Patterson had spent 24 years as a driver gaining experience in many different aspects of transport.
Based near Driffield East Yorkshire JOHN PATTERSON transport services cover the whole of the UK.
Since the inception of the company they have grown from strength to strength, now having a large and varied fleet of eight vehicles of various different specifications and also work alongside a substantial network of trusted partners.
Their primary objective is simple, to find fast and effective solutions to all their customers transport requirements. They do this by strategically placing themselves in the industry, utilising their own fleet and network of partners to find the best possible solution for valued customers. With a view to creating a RELIABLE transport company based around the principles of providing unrivalled service levels.
Offering good service is having knowledge, reliable and experience drivers. Over half of the workforce have been with the company for between five and eleven years. They also have part time drivers who have worked for the company for a few years so are also experienced which enables them to fill gaps, recover from delays as and when they occur and react to customer requests at short notice. All drivers have completed vulnerable road user training and are equipped with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
All lorries are rigid flatbed trucks, one with a beavertail and winch for transporting plant and machinery.
Here are some examples of work carried out by John Patterson transport, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, tractors, generators, lighting towers, excavators, timber processing machines, telehandlers, insulation, fabricated steel, straw, concrete panels, portacabins and mill and mix machinery. Included in their work they have moved ROV vehicles for sea bed work from manufacturer to exhibitions and a full lorry load of Bees to Kent!
Members of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) which is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. FORS helps fleet operators to measure and monitor performance and alter their operations in order to demonstrate best practice.
John Patterson transport has achieved Silver accreditation which is awarded to operators who maintain their Bronze accreditation and are able to demonstrate that they have developed driver licencing verification systems, vehicles are fitted with blind spot minimisation devices and those over 3.5 tonnes are equipped with a left turn audible warning system.
John Patterson transport will always try and help where they can and often out of "normal' hours.
